Fuji FinePix 2650

Ok. Heres the deal I have a Fuji Finepix 2650 digital camera that should be recognized as a USB Mass Storage device. I have 2.4.18 Kernel with Slackware 8.1. I have all the USB modules loaded, uhci and usb-storage. When I go to plug it in, it should say SCSI emulation...etc... but it only says Device connect.
I know this from typing tail -f /var/log/messages ...
Is it possible I don't have the right SCSI modules loaded? It's a bare Slackware 8.1 installation. Only necessary modules are loaded--including, sound, network, usb, and usb-storage.
Anyone have a clue on how to help me? I've been looking for help for days and this is my last resort. ... If it's any inclination to help me, I'm planning on ditching Windows 2000 Pro if I can only get my camera working in Slack. I love Slack

Thx in Advanced,
S.E.W.
