Frustrated - Touchpa help FC2

I recently installed FC2 as a new Linux user. I'm not familar with the OS nor do i understand how the drivers are installed. I tried to follow the instructions using the terminal that were included in they Synaptic drivers README and INSTALL . I try do the "make" as to create the driver, but it kicks back a buch of errors and doenst create the file. I think that after that I'd be all set.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

My other issue has been not being able to get my MN-520 Wireless to work. FC2 recongnizes the card but when I go in and setup the IP, DNS, Gateway etc... and the Key...its almost like i've got a dead connneciton. My 3com wired connection seems to work fine... I'd like to use the wireless though if its possible.....

thanks for any ideas and help that get things on the right track....

Noel
