Fritz box dsl problem (router/modem)

The fritz box is a DSL modem/router it's running linux as far as I know. The problem is it refuses too detect my dsl line. There is nothing wrong whit the line it self, so it must be the box. So I was just wondering if anyone here has any ideas other than "my box is broken"?
