I'm looking at this this foxconn 755A01-6EKRS motherboard.

I will be using this cpu:
AMD Sempron 64 2800+ / 256KB Cache / 1600MHz FSB / Socket 754 / Hyper-Transport / 64-Bit (Palermo)

I didn't find any info in the hcl section on any foxconn mboads but I like this one due to the 4 SATA headers. I plan on using it as a file server (and other things) and 4 SATA headers gives me a lot of potential disk capacity.

Does it look to be linux compatible?

Are all the features you are interested have compatible chipsets? If so, it is Linux compatibile.

The chipsets are

northbridge SiS 755
southbridge SiS 964

Is it as simple as looking in the HCL list and find a mboard with the same chipsets and read reviews?
