I think i have read everything on the internet about this, but i am still having problems with a raid setup on Debian Sarge.

I installed dmraid, and it says no raid found,

I do have a non-raid Promise pata card
this is a sata-raid setup I'm trying to install, as hard drive 4 and 5

The card is a VIA VT6421

The Drives are brand new, non-formated.
The VIA BIOS says that the drives are configured correctly
