FLY TV tuner configuration
Hi
I have a Lifeview FLYTV tuner card working on Mandrake 9.1 kernel 2.4.21 Well my drivers are installed fine as I am able to see the saa7134 module in Mandrake Control Centre The options which can be configured are irq_debug, core_debug, gpio_tracking, video_nr, ts_nr, vbi_nr, radio_nr, dsp_nr, mixer_nr, tuner, card, latency, i2c_debug, i2c_scan, video_debug, gbuffers, vbi_debug, vbibufs, audio_debug, oss_debug, oss_rate, ts_debug and tsbufs. I am getting proper video when the tuner is set to 5 and the card to 2. What are the other values I need to change in order to get the audio working? Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
You will have to download kernel version 2.6.10 and compile it. It supports the chip better and the developer that does V4L has stop supporting for the 2.4.x kernels.

Is there nothing I can do with this kernel! Since I have the drivers installed.
Troubleshooting advice anyone |
There is a way to get sound but it is sloppy. You have to include oss=1 and oss_rate=32000 when loading the saa7134 module. Next load xawtv. It will activate the sound. Then you can use any tv viewing program like tvtime or kdetv. This only works for the tuner and not for S-Video and composite (RCA).
Again this is sloppy but it works. If you use kernel version 2.6.10, the sound will work without loading xawtv first then a program. Also the audio input jack will get activated when changing to S-Video or composite. Though I have not tested the infrared remote because I have no need for it. |
Hey i have given the options of the module, there is no oss in particular. The options are in my first post of this topic, if I enter oss=1 I get the following message.
Warning: ignoring oss=1, no such parameter in this module Module saa7134 loaded, with warnings Any other option, I've tried dsp_nr=1 mixer_nr=1 |
