They weren't the jumpers. I got another computer just like it(birthday). going to put the two together. I can get into bios on it. there is a setting to disable write and boot to the floppy. finally the screen popped up with the info on it. it is a deskpro 4000. I tried the floppies for that, no luck with the first workstation that I had.
