Flat-screen monitor?

I currently have Sony Trinitron 200PS flat-screen which is about 5 years old.
At the time, it was one of the more expensive models and I liked it. It's still pretty nice.

Please recommend a flat screen that's at least as nice as that, or better.
Does HP L1755 qualify as such?

How much money do you have to spend?

Just as color-saturated and sharp resolution and refresh rate.

I was thinking $300-400 maybe?
