Flat Panel Display - Install problem

To all in the forum:

I have recently downloaded SuSE 8.2 Linux and want to install it in my system.
I have a 17" flat panel display.

After the boot splash screen, the mode changes and the display reports: "Unsupported video mode".

If I make a boot disk, Is there a way to write or edit a startup file that would specify the video mode?

Thank You for any info in this matter.

at the screen where you can choose 'linux,failsafe,floppy, etc., type linux 3, login as root, and type sax2
