Flashing of DVD drive?
just want to double check whether this is neccessary in order to play any region DVD under linux.
i'm currently running MDK 9.2 and i've got current versions libdvdnav, libdvdcss, and libdvdread installed which allow me to play R2 DVD's no problem. i've done a couple of searches in here and from what i've read that should be enough for breaking the encryption on any region DVD but do i need to be worried about the RPC-2 thing that lets you change the drive region 5 times before locking the drive to the last selected region? i know this is a factor in windows but seeing as libdvdcss is breaking the encryption on the DVD anyway does it matter under linux?
