I did that, that's why it took a while longer to respond. Still no luck.

I doubt it. Somehow the utility simply wont work with my setup.

Ah. Well on sunday I was in my garden, straightening things for the comming season. It was sunny and unseasonably warm but very enjoyable all the same. Inside I run now firmware CC32 and since CC35 wont work I'll wait for CC36.

Thankyou for your support. Even if ultimately unsuccessful I still learned and that is fun all in itself.

You could be a Dane...

I'm not sure there will be a version C36; Seagate probably won't bother.

We in Denmark have a tradition of complaint about the problems of the season. Winter is cold, wet and dark, spring is unsteady, with rain and wind, summer is too hot or not at all, and fall's the final disappointment, but what's a climate without complaint if not grounds to complain still more.

Well, the disk works and I can always ignore the suggestions of S.M.A.R.T (though I don't like to).
