nmares Member Registered: Aug 2004 Location: Sydney, Australia Distribution: Debian, Knoppix, LFS, Lycoris Posts: 38 Rep:	Firewire controller in Mandrake 10.1 on Inspiron 700m freezes on boot Just installed mandrake 10.1 on my inspiron 700m... when it boots up it waits for ages on 'starting firewire controller ohci1394'... this is quite annoying when i boot up... i have deleted this network connection from within mandrake however i still have the problem when booting up. I dont use the firewire controller for anything at present so is there some way to disable it or prevent it from locking up my computer temporarily on bootup?
