Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

FireGL 4000 Linux Support?

Compaq Professional Workstation 6000.
PII (not sure of proc speed)
256 MB RAM
4GB SCSI HD
Jaz Drive
RedHat 7.3

Install couldn't probe the card, so it forced text mode install. Completed the install, ran Xconfigurator - tried all of the FireGL cards, and the generic video driver, none work.

Anyone know of a driver for this card or what other driver I can use?

If not I'll have to use the old Stealth 64 I have laying about...

Look at
http://www.ati.com/support/products/...uxdrivers.html
and download the the right driver for the particular xfree86 version you have.

You may have to install Redhat 7.2 for the driver to work.
