fglrx running but has bad results

i am having a lot of troubles with my fglrx drivers or something of the sort i get scores of like 400-800 on glxgears but whenever its runing i get slowdowns and though the out put stays the same its gittering and clicking like its not running well and everything is slower and in 3d applications i get insane speeds of like 200 fps and and everything looks like it running bad with alot of graphical errors im running on an gentoo with a ati 9200se sorry for the runon
