fglrx and nvidia multihead setup

Hiya,

I've tried for some time to get my multihead setup with ATI and NVidia to work. It's working fine when I use the fglrx or radeon drivers for the ATI and the nvidia proprietary driver for the NVidia. The open source drivers for the NVidia just makes the server crash and freezes the system straight away.
If I use fglrx only (no multihead), I get 3D and stuff. Same when I put only nvidia and load the glx module. But when I put both fglrx and nvidia (or radeon and nvidia) and load the glx module, the server crashes and freezes, everytime. If I don't load the glx module, the server works fine, but I don't have any opengl extensions, so can't do anything with 3D.

I tried renaming the glx modules in glx.nvidia and glx.fglrx and load both of them, but it still freezes the computer. What can I do to get the glx extension on the ATI? I can get it to work on the nvidia only, by loading the glx.nvidia module, but it's not my main screen.

Any help appreciated. Please refrain from stupid comments such as "replace the ATI by an NVIDIA", I would have done it ages ago if NVidia didn't have the bright idea of not producing regular PCI cards anymore.

Cheers,
---
