Fedora won't read NTFS

I have an external hard drive, its formatted NTFS. I ran yum install ntfs-3g, but it still won't read. I would format it FAT32, but it won't let me, even in Windows. Help anyone?

You have to mount the drive before it can be read.

Do you have the "fuse" module loaded? Also make sure you don't use the "acpci=off" kernel boot option. You might consider making the fuse modules one of those loaded automatically at boot time, or even include in initrd.
