Fedora core 5 + Unknown VIA card
so i just installed fedora core 5 and the video driver is extremly slow. i am moving from fedora 4 where it seemed to recognize my video card (on motherboard) but for some reason fedora 5 cant...
lspci says
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. Unknown device 3344 (rev 01)
the via drivers are installed...
[root@pc206 ~]# rpm -ql xorg-x11-drv-via
/usr/lib/libviaXvMC.so.1
/usr/lib/libviaXvMC.so.1.0.0
/usr/lib/libviaXvMCPro.so.1
/usr/lib/libviaXvMCPro.so.1.0.0
/usr/lib/xorg/modules
/usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers
/usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/via_drv.so
/usr/share/hwdata/videoaliases/via.xinf
/usr/share/man/man4/via.4.gz
and xorg.conf is using the vesa driver. (if i used via for driver it cant start X)
anyone run into this problem? or know how to fix it?
