Fedora Core 4 and ATI Radeon IGP 345M
Hello fellow linux guys,
i have come here regarding a problem of linux's bad support of the ATI IGP 345M graphics driver. It accepts 330m, 340m, 350m but not the 345m at all. Its a laptop chipset, on a Sony VAIO PCG-FRV31. I am currently running the IGP 340M driver, it works ok, but this doesn't have hardware acceleration, so its seems ever so slow. Interms of graphic changes. So basically is there anyway i could get my 345M display driver working for linux, with 3d acceleration support? because at the moment i am getting very fond of linux and i do not wish to go back to dreadful windows. :p Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can't seem to find any threads explaining a solution to this problem via the use of the almight google. Also please keep in mind i am a noobie at linux with ever-growing knowledge of it. Thanks very much, any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Flukey :) |
Unfortunately, ATI does not support the IGP range of cards under Linux. But I found something here that might help you.
