Fedora Core 3 -Can't install Ether16 NIC

I have an older NIC (Ether16-Linksys) that will not be auto detected. I had the same problem with a previous Slackware Distro but was able to turn off pnp on the NIC and uncomment the appropriate line in modules.conf. Unforntunately, Fedora doesn't use this file and I can't seem to find the relevant file in this distribution. I know the hard coded io and interupt and have tried using neat, but am getting error. I have tried ne2000 compatible but get an error : no such devie or address...

Thanks

Hi Pmagn, welcome to lq. I think the file you're looking for is /etc/modprobe.conf.
good luck.
