Fedora 5 Main os vmware 5 guest os winxp, Help setting up serial ports o

fedora 5 with vmware 5 guest os is win xp

in vmware configure
i went to add serial port
i selected use physical seiral port on host
auto detect
connect at power on

this is what i get for a error:

Cannot connect virtual device serial0. No corresponding device is available on the host.

Would you like an attempt to be made to connect this virtual device every time you power on the virtual machine?

Any suggestions or ideas on how to get the serial port to work on the guest winxp?

I have the same problem.
I have linux as a host operating system, and windows xp as a guest OS.

The problem is exactly as mentioned above.

Thans in advance for your help.
