Fedora 2 ... NIC Won't Connect
I installed Fedora 2, and now I can't connect to the internet. Dual boot with WinXP which works fine, so there's nothing wrong with the card. Will copy a few error messages I got from system-config-network and the logout message. Card is a 3Com 3C905TX, and it workd fine on Redhat 9.
System recognizes the card, but does not get from the NIC to the cable modem.
Any suggestions appreciated.

If one of you administrative people can move this to the Fedora Forum, it might be helpful. I didn't know about that one when I posted it here.

I think this is a Kudzu related problem with some of the 3com 905 based
cards. Disabling kudzu fixed it for me. I found the details here:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzill...g.cgi?id=102685
Hope that helps!

Great, it also worked for me.
Just upgraded from RedHat9 and had this problem on the 3c59x.
It does not make sense to me why kudzu should break this, but disabling it works.
For all those that don't know how:
chkconfig kudzu off
This will switch it off in all runlevels and after a reboot it works.
I thought this was a tough problem, on a bleeding edge linux system, unable to solve it. But now, I fixed it so fast, with your help! THAT is linux!!!
Thanks!
Markus
