Maybe we can, if you provide some actual details. Things like exactly what KIND of hardware you're talking about, how it's connected to your system, what kind of system you have, etc.

Right now, all we know is you've got a modem, you typed in wvdialconf, and it didn't work. Not alot for us to go on.

Don't bump your own thread after a few hours. We volunteer our time here to answer questions, and answer when we want to. And if you had bothered to provide decent information in your FIRST post, you would have had some sort of answer sooner.

Since you're in such a hurry, I'm sure you've been looking things up. Like the fact that your modem is based on the Rockwell chipset? That there is a Modem-HOWTO guide, and one for PCMCIA:
http://tldp.org/HOWTO/html_single/Modem-HOWTO
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/html_single/PCMCIA-HOWTO/

that have sections that specifically deals with laptops and PCMCIA modems. Since PCMCIA is a bit old, make sure you've got the modules loaded, that are referenced in the docs.

You've been getting help, but appear to not want to put any effort into reading things. And again, don't bump your own threads after a few hours. If you're in such a big hurry, put Ubuntu back on your system where it was working, and be done. Otherwise, quit complaining about how long it takes to get help. Read the links I sent you in my post. They list the modules you should check, in detail.

Did you just try running wvdialconf to generate a new configuration? Do you have a /dev/modem device?? Have you actually done ANYTHING, other than typing in "wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf"??

You know, after I spent time researching YOUR problem for you, and posting you links, to say "If none will help me I wait to I get home", is VERY rude. I have been trying to help you, but you don't seem to get it. I've asked questions you haven't bothered to answer, and given you links you obviously haven't read.

And if it doesn't work with FC13 NOW, why would you think it'll work with the SAME OS IF YOU RELOAD IT???? What do you think will have changed???
