FC5 not detecting my 56k


please help me. fedora core 5 is failing to detect my modem via the serial port. how can i fix this problem???? please help

You just need to use setserial to set the parameters for the serial port and then use a PPP program to control the modem. Make sure the PPP program uses the correct AT codes for your modem.
