Question FC3 with SATA RAID1

We have just purchased a nice dual 2.8 xeon processor with 4 gigs of RAM Dell server with 2 80 gig SATA hd's.

I installed FC3 with no problems. We are using this box as an asterisk predictive dialer with a 4 port samgoma card.

I am wondering why when checked FC3 installed the drives starting with hdc and not hda.

We have an old dialer that has the same config but with IDE drives and it is installed as hda.

Any ideas? Am I going to have to do a re-install to get this working? If anyone needs any more info, let me know. Thanks.

You may have nothing to worry about...

hda = jumper to master for a IDE drive on controller 1
hdc = jumber to master IDE on controller 2

Your s-ATA ...I don't use FC but should be showing up as mds or sds and not hds.

I suspect hda is your optical drive open your case is the easiest way to confirm or your read your
/var/log/dmesg file
