FC3 installation on Proliant 1850r

Hi
I am new to the forum today so please be gentle...

I am installing Fedora Core 3 on an old Proliant 1850r server but am having a bit of trouble. i use the following options for the install

linux apm=off acpi=off ide=nodma nousb nopcmcia noapic nofb

but after the install completes if i tough the number lock key the system locks. also the system hangs on reboot but will shutdown ok.
i have built a couple of Netserver E800's with no problem, can anyone help with this?

can you not just hit enter to start the install and have it work? the defaults should work just fine unless your hardware says otherwise

i get the same problem if i run the default install, i found the options on another forum and they work on some of my servers but not the 1850r for some reason. every time the install finishes and reboots, then if you touch the num lock it locks the machines completely.
