FC3 & Windows

I am running a FC3 BOX with RAID 1. I am attempting to create a backup of this box using a linux backup software. The hardrives are on a SCSI Bus.

I am attempting to attach anothe SCSI drive to the BUS and create a backup of the RAID 1 drives on that drive.

The Problem:
I have an old had drive with Windows 2000 on it. When I attach this drive to the SCSI bus with the RAID 1 hard drives, the Windows 2000 drive boots up. This is not what I want. How can I resolve this issue? Can someone please help? Thank you very much in advance.

Is the Windows 2000 drive connected as a Slave drive? Or does that only apply to SATA, not SCSI?

The windows 2000 drive is connected via SCSI. It think that only applies to SATA and not SCSI.
