FC3 and SATA/150 running with PATA drive

I just purchased a Maxtor 250GB drive that came with the Maxtor (Promise) SATA/150 PCI controller card (PDC20375). I'm using the ATA connector for the drive.

I have searched the web and can not find anyone that has this card working with FC3 using the ATA interface. I have checked the Promise site and they have drivers, but nothing explicity for FC3 (RH, SuSE, TurboLinux).

Has anyone gotten this card to work with FC3? With Linux? and what steps did you take?

Thanks.

This is what I get from DMESG:

sata_promise version 1.00
PCI: Found IRQ 10 for device 0000:00:11.0
PCI: Sharing IRQ 10 with 0000:00:0d.0
ata1: SATA max UDMA/133 cmd 0x1A812200 ctl 0x1A812238 bmdma 0x0 irq 10
ata2: SATA max UDMA/133 cmd 0x1A812280 ctl 0x1A8122B8 bmdma 0x0 irq 10
ata1: no device found (phy stat 00000000)
scsi0 : sata_promise
ata2: no device found (phy stat 00000000)
scsi1 : sata_promise
kjournald starting. Commit interval 5 seconds
EXT3-fs: mounted filesystem with ordered data mode.

My boot drive is on the onboard IDE controller and works fine.
