FAT32 not supported by kernel... how do I fix that??

Hey all! I am trying to mount a FAT32 hard drive partition using Red Hat 9, and when I type "mount -t fat32 -o ro /dev/hda2 /mnt/audio_media", it gives me this message: "mount: fs type fat32 not supported by kernel".

Interestingly enough, this is not the first install of Red Hat 9 that I've tried on this machine. My first install went beautifully, and I installed the GNOME desktop environment. I tried mounting this drive the exact same way and it worked great! No problems!! ...but this time I installed (after messing around and trying some other flavors of Linux) and went with the KDE and am given the above messages when I try to mount. Any suggestions????? Thanks!

In Linux, FAT32 is referred as vfat.
So, try this instead:
Code:
mount -t vfat -o ro /dev/hda2 /mnt/audio_media

To see which filesystems are supported by your kernel

$ cat /proc/filesystems

well if your wondering how he knew that it either got brought to his attention by someone telling him originally or if he read the manuel, or some online article...
anyways to see what mount can do, at the terminal type:
man mount
and if you scroll down to the -t argument you will see the different options

I learned it at a certain point.
I must have looked in the MAN pages or Google.
I can't remember.
