Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Fancy All-In-One Picture printer for my lovely old mom.

As stated in the title. I'm looking for a printer with printing pictures as it's main function.

My mother isn't very tech savvy and fully relies on me. She's running Debian on her Laptop and Android on her phone, both should work for the printing part, the scanning and other stuff is less important as long android supports it.

As I don't want to screw her over with HP cartridges(she's my mother after all) I also prefer ink-thanks.

Here's an example of what I had in mind:
Epson EcoTank ET-2750 - All-in-One Printer
https://www.bol.com/be/nl/p/epson-ec...p-epson-et2720

I'm aware that their scanning driver for Linux is buggy (and needs to be replaced with plain xsane and some hacks).

Anyway, I m not really familiar with these products would really appreciate advice, comments and recommendations.

Edit: Seems like Debian has a printer driver for it.

OK.
The lack of input speaks for itself.
No probs ;-)
I'll update this post to let you know how it went.

FWIW: A friend bought an Epson ink-tank printer for exactly that purpose, i.e., printing photographs, and is very happy with it. Sorry, I don't remember which model.

Thanks.
That's all I'm looking for.

The printing should just work and has no need for extra drivers.
Hacking xsane is easy and shouldn't be be an issue either.

Further more, she's +75 years old and mostly uses her phone (ET-2750 supports "Epson iPrint").

That said, Epson does offer Linux drivers(though I doubt they work).

A lot of these printers still can be configured to emulate other models and other print topologies.

I'd start with the Epson support myself. https://download.ebz.epson.net/dsc/s...h/searchModule
