fan doesn't stop


hi

i have redhat 8.0 installed in ASUS p3 1000 Ghz laptop.

after about 5 minutes from booting the system the fan starts and doesn't stop whatsoever

here is the result for top command:

the average load is about 1.0 ..

what could be the reason?? when i switch to windows everything goes fine ...

BTW, it is running with the battery only .. the AC power is not plugged in
