Thumbs down Failed to generate sqlite database: an error occurred during Library.itdb generation

I am trying to use gtkpod and when i attempt to make changes i get the following error "Failed to generate sqlite database: an error occurred during Library.itdb generation" and no changes are made. i try to change things in clementine and also amarok but unsuccessful. I do not currently have a windows computer to reset the ipod. so what are my options?

I searched google and did a little reasearch but they all say plug into windows computer.

gtkpod DOES support 5th gen ipods and is in the list.

I am using openSUSE 12.3
