External RAID

Hi,

I am relatively new to Red Hat Linux 7.3, and I am trying to install an external scsi RAID system. The RAID is already configured with lun mapped. I was thinking of partition it first then format and finally mount it. Using parted didn't help to partition it. Doing cat /proc/scsi/scsi I don't see the RAID, only the internal hdd. However, within /proc/scsi/aic7xxx two files 0 and 1 exist. Please help out. Thanks.
