external harddrive connected through pcmcia ieee1394 cardbus

I have setup my laptop with Slackware 10.0, but the only thing I'm missing is being able to access my external harddrive, which is connected into a PCMCIA card which goes into my laptop. When I boot Slack up, it seems to detect the card and it spends some time on it. I'm pretty sure it detects it properly, but, do I have to mount it? I'm kinda stuck at this point.

the lsmod output incudes:
yenta_socket 10336 1
pcmcia_core 39972 0 [ds yenta_socket]
and
ohci1394 24112 0 (unused)
ieee1394 42276 0 [sbp2 ohci1394]

lspci output includes:
02:00.0 FireWire (IEEE 1394): VIA Technologies, Inc. IEEE 1394 Host Controller (rev 46)
00:0a.0 CardBus bridge: O2 Micro, Inc. OZ6912 Cardbus Controller

And a lot more which I don't think are essential (but if I need to post the complete output, go ahead and tell me).

Any help would be appreciated.
