i am running suse 9.2 and am considering getting an external hard drive to back up my data. Will any external hard drive work or are there special requirements for it to work with linux.
External hard drives should work just fine. The hard drive will just show up as a SCSI drive, I'm pretty sure. Adding it to your fstab would do the trick and your computer won't know the different between it being inside or outside.
