External Hard Drive
 
I want to install linux on a 80 GB western digital hard drive. The problum is it doesnt reconize it as a drive. How would i get it to reconize it so i can install Red Hat Fedora Core 3 on it.:scratch:

is it external USB or SCSI or IDE?

you may want to type the option 'doscsi' when your booting into the installer, this will take care fo the first two (hopefully)
If its IDE - im not too sure, ive never used one, check the hardware compatibility list to see if any one else has had trouble with it.

in that case, try typing 'doscsi' when it displayed 'boot:' under the fedora splash just beafore it gets started into the installer.
