Question ext4 partition on an adaptec 3805 raid suddenly fails to mount

Hi

I have a 8 2T discs in a raid 6 on an adaptec 3805. Its been running fine for more than a year until this morning where it failed and reboots did not bring the device back online. Adaptec Storage Manager says its "optimal" although it has a smart-warning on one of the drives. I will replace that drive asap

boot.log:
Code:
Scanning for Btrfs filesystems
fsck from util-linux 2.20.1
/dev/sda1: clean, 1455732/60547072 files, 162714850/242164480 blocks
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sdb1,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail or so

mountall: mount /share [524] terminated with status 32
mountall: Filesystem could not be mounted: /share

So it's not mounted.
What happens when you try 'e2fsck -fvy' or the like?
Does that fix it?
