Excess CPU Usage after resume
Hello there,
I'm using Fedora 8 on a Compaq Presario V3424AU and I'm facing these problems:
  1. I sometimes get the message right after resume that my machine failed to suspend, but it does suspend.
  2. My CPU usage after many suspends remains around 80-90%, which gets my machine pretty hot. I looked into the System Monitor and found that a process named npviewer.bin (which also consumes about 24-25 MB of RAM, and the CPU usage keeps varying because of this process) was causing this excessive CPU usage.

Can anyone tell me what is wrong? My hardware specs are:

Compaq Presario V3424 AU
1.5 GB RAM
AMD Turion 2.20 Ghz @ 64
Nvidia GeForce Go 6150
Broadcom w/l
Ricoh Card Reader

I hope that this discussion can help you.

Seems a problem to be when there is a web page that has embedded video.
