ethernet problems

guys,

I am running Debian.

My freind from a remore connection updated my Kernel last night.

Woohooo, It booted up no problems and the kernel updated too.

now the problem.

It wont connect to the internet at all, or Xchat when I try.

I think the new kernel has knocked out my ethernet card configuration.

Any help me?

(im sending this from work)

What kind of card is it?

Did you compile support in the new kernel?

What is your output of ifconfig?

Don't let friends update your kernel from remote connections next time.. you should do that yourself..
