ethernet card with redhat enterprise
hi
i am trying to set up a server to host a few simple web pages on one of my old machines. i got red hat installed on it but my internet is not working i have a dlink de 220 ethernet card and i check with d link for linux drivers but they said there were none. does any one know where to get drivers for it or a cheap ethernet card taht will work with red hat enterprise v.3? any help would be greatly appreciated. instead of searching for driver i suggest use kernel 2.6.x
build your card as module in it |
ok
i am new to linux do i downlod kernel 2.6x and where do i dl it? would i just burn it on a cd and install it on the troubled machine? and how do u build a module? |
oops that requires lots of reading.............do a google for kernel compilation..............and yes u have to download the kernel source for it..........
