Ethernet and Mic problems with Debian on eeepc701.
Hi Everybody,
I'm running Debian squeeze on my Asus eeepc 701, with kernel version number "2.6.32-5-686".
According to the official website, my netbook should be totally supported by Debian, but unfortunately something is wrong...
In particular:
(1) The Ethernet card is not reveled by ifconfig.
The System seems to ignore totally the existence of my eth card.
(2) The mic doesn't work with Skype/Audacity.
Please, can someone suggest some possible solution?
I think it should be good to know that:
a) Before installing Debian squeeze, on my netbook there was the previous version of Debian, and there were no problems;
b) I am sure to have activate in the BIOS all the hardware devices needed;
C) I have already searched on Google, without any results.
d) The main problem is the n°1.
I have no problems with Debian testing repos on my AntiX 8.5 install on my eeepc 701SD netbook.
I did how ever have to do a mike fix on my eeepc 900 in AntiX 11 using testing repos
