eth0: Transmit timed out, status ffffffff, CSR12 ffffffff

I had just installed last week Debian 3.0. I don't remember if i tried the net but i think it worked fine. I have started the PC with Windows that is in the other disk of the PC. Then i have started the Linux and i started to get the following message
eth0: Transmit timed out, status ffffffff, CSR12 ffffffff

I am using ad network adapter: ADMtek AM983 Fast Ethernet Adapter and i had chosen the tulip driver that comes with the Debian Installation.

I am able to ping my own net adapter but not with the res of adapters of the net.

Does anybody know how to fix it?
