here is my story:


my system was runing fine but the computer was making allot of noice lately so i open my case to find out what it was.

I hear allot of noice comming from my harddisks, so i take one out to see which one is making the noice.

I find the one, i close my case, computer boots againµ
en then suddenly my whole screen keeps getting floodded with the message:

"eth0: PCI bus error 2290"
"eth0: PCI bus error 2290"
"eth0: PCI bus error 2290"
"eth0: PCI bus error 2290"
"eth0: PCI bus error 2290"


there is some other message too every 10 messages of "eth0: PCI bus error 2290" but i cannot read it beceause it goes by to fast.


So i shutdown my system plug in my ethernet card on another pci port
but i still get the error.

So i have no idea what happend, i didn't touch the card neither did i change any system configuration.
But i really need some help

I've recently also gotten this error. I'm trying to produce some kernellogs and so I'm trying to set up a netconsole. I've seen this error for both kernel 2.6.17.11 and 2.6.18-rc4.

Did you ever figure it out?
