eth card need help and info

thanks for help in addvance

I have been given two network cards without any docs. if anyone has these cards or knows how to get them working i would be much appreciated.

here is the info on the cards
S82595FX
L6455070
c 1989 1995

fcc id : EJMNIO-EPXISA3W

this is what i have done
i know that it is an ibm chip set.
i also know that most of the people that have anything on the net have
the S82595FX L6465786 chip set and i have no idea what the difference is.
the card does not show up in /proc/ioports /proc/interrups.
i am using the standard woody 2.2.20 debinan kernel.

thanks

The S82595FX seems to be possibly a Intel NIC according to this site: http://www.chipdocs.com/pndecoder/da.../S82595FX.html

The second card I could find nothing on it anywhere.

Try eepro network module

Hello,

I think the card is EthernetExpress 10+/pro

Loads OK in debian, interrupt 10 and address 300 (so roughly speaking).

I on the other hand have a problem how to configure the card. It works on win95 but has crappy trasnfers in linux... :(
