es1371...has anyone compiled into kernel??

Well, after many issues trying to get a 8233 onboard sound to work properly just went out and got a new card, a Ensoniq Creative Sound Blaster AudioPCI128. Try to compile it into my kernel several times, actually tried the 1370 and the 1371 and both would come back with a gameport error. Now I have the 1371 as a module and works fine but was checking if anyone has gotten this built into the kernel?

thanks
