ERR MSG: orinoco_cs device eth1 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization.

I have an ORiNOCO b/g card with Aethors chipset. I made all the drivers and now am trying to get the card to be recognized by my laptop. When I restart the network services I get the following:

Shutting down interface eth0: [ OK ]
Shutting down loopback interface: [ OK ]
Setting network parameters: [ OK ]
Bringing up loopback interface: [ OK ]
Bringing up interface eth0: [ OK ]
Bringing up interface eth1: orinoco_cs device eth1 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization.
[FAILED]

What should I do t rouble shoot this issue?

gt6350a 11-08-2003 03:33 PM

additionally when I do:

# iwconfig

I get...
lo no wireless extensions.

eth0 no wireless extensions.

also, when I do 'neat' and try to bind my MAC address it can not find one in the PCMCIA slot.

I am using an ORiNOCO b/g card model # 8470-WD with MADWiFi drivers.

What am I doing wrong and how can I correct?

Help!! Thanks!!!
