Epson Stylus NX420

I'm going to install Linux (again), I used to use linux years ago, and it worked, I think, but I'm going that way again, and I just want to know if this printer will work with linux. I bought the latest version of slackware for my linux, it come with X Windows, whatever that is, I don't know if this printer will work or not, I'll just have to see.

The printer is supported with the driver listed here -->http://www.openprinting.org/printer/...n-NX420_Series

When you install Slackware, do a full install. I don't know if the driver comes with Slack, or not. You can get it at the above link.

Add the printer in Cups, you need the root password to add printers.

I have the same printer and for the life of me I cannot get it to work with Slackware Linux 13.37. I have to use my old HP 1510 to print when i am on my Linux machine. The nx420 is on my wireless network and my wife and I can print to it fine on with our windows laptops...

i will try the driver camorri posted about and report back results in a few days..
