Please tell us which distribution of Linux your netbook is using. There are differences between the various flavors available.
Unlike Windows, almost everything you'll want to install should be available from your distro's central software repository and installable with a simple command. Since the 760 is an older model, most probably you'll simply need to install the gutenprint driver package and the driver you need will appear in your printer configuration dialog, if it isn't there already.
Edit: Yes, the gutenprint driver supports it. Again, you should use your distro's "add software" function rather than downloading it from the main site.

First of all, just to confirm, you have already checked your printer configuration settings to see what drivers are available by default, right?
Unfortunately I don't know much about Linpus Lite specifically, other than it's Fedora-based, especially since it's a modified version for netbooks.
But in general terms, you should have some kind of "install new software" feature somewhere in your settings. Use its search function and see if you can locate a package called "gutenprint", and install it if you do (it will download the package from a central repository and install it automatically). That should provide you with the driver you need, and it should then show up in your printer config.
Hi Carol:
Here is a suggestion; Check to see if, you have a "configuring printers " in your Distro's software, If so, switch on the printer, and see if the software will find it. Or another possibility is see if you have "cups " installed.
I had the same problem with Vector Linux, which would not locate or find my Epson Colorstylus 740. Since then, whenever I try a Distro, the first thing that I try to install is that Epson Printer, if it does not, then I give it the heave-ho. So far ,I have been lucky with, Ubuntu, Mint, Puppy.
Hope this helps,
