epson r300 card reader help needed

Hi,

I have an Epson R300 printer with a built-in card reader, Im struggling to get the card reader working.

Im using Slackware 10.1 with the 2.6.10 kernel from the testing folder, I havent fiddled with it. The printer is setup and works fine.

I was following the USB card reader tutorial from linuxquestion.org and run into problems straight away.

$cat proc/scsi/scsi
cat: proc/scsi/scsi: No such file or directory

$lsusb
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 04b8:0803 Seiko Epson Corp.
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000

and when i type '$mount' this gets listed amongst my other drives:
usbfs on /proc/bus/usb type usbfs (rw)

also in '/dev' I have no sda entries.

any suggestions?

thanks
