Question Epson Perfection V35 scanner button functionality ?

I just bought a new Epson Perfection V35 flatbed scanner and to my surprise it works great in Linux though I had to follow this http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2108555 site.

One question I have though is I was wondering if anyone knows how to get the scanner buttons to work in linux. It is not all that necessary, but it would be a nice feature to have working.

Might try the factory info. Is it a V35 or V350?

Basic scanning with Epson products generally works with the open source sane drivers, but access to their other built-in features, particularly their full range of scanning resolutions, generally requires their proprietary iscan driver.

Unfortunately iscan has a pretty primitive interface (unless they've done anything to upgrade it since the last time I looked), so don't expect much. The third-party vuescan may give you a more satisfying experience, if you're willing to pay for it.

See the links in my signature.
