Epson Lx 800 Driver

Hey , I need driver fro Epson LX-800 Printer, it is 9 pin dotted printer.

I have ubuntu, I tried to test lx-1050 driver instead,,, it prints but the words are hardly readable, it makes every letter so wide..

is there any better alternative for lx-800 epson printer?

I don't have the answer, but I suspect part of the reason the LX-1050 choice produced such strange results is because the 1050 is/was a 24-pin printer.

I used to have the LX-800 printer many years ago (with my Apple IIe) and as I recall it was essentially the same as the LX-86, not that that helps...
